Stella nodded and was concerned about Don and Mac. She bit her lip and took a seat. "Thanks, I'd appreciate that very much." she said.

The nurse nodded and offered Stella a reassuring smile. "I'll keep a good eye on both of them, Detective,"she promised. She then took Mac back to get his injuries treated and hunted down Don's doctor to get news on his condition.

It was about half an hour later when she came back out, finding Stella easily. "Detective Bonasera,"she greeted. "I've got good news. Detective Flack's gonna be fine with time, and Doc says you can see him. Dr. Hunter had just started working on Detective Taylor when I came out, but I'll try to keep you posted as much as I can on his condition, alright?"

Stella nodded and smiled. She was relieved to hear Don was ok so she immediately went with the nurse to see him. Once there, Stella placed her hand on Don's hand and just stared at her friend. "Don hey, it's Stella. Doctor says you're gonna be fine. They took Mac back to be observed. May be a while before u can chase down perps again but you'll recover in no time. After all, u are young." she joked.

"Just relax, alright?"Dr. Hunter shot a glare at Mac. Mac smirked. "Relax?"he asked, "C'mon, I thought you knew me better than that." Dr. Hunter sighed and rolled her eyes. "Fine, You win. Detective Flack will be fine. Your turn now,"she said, eyeing her patient like us be expected him to continue playing whatever game he started, "I already checked the x-rays, and you did break it, but it's not too bad. So, work with me and I can get you settled in faster. Cause you're not going anywhere with a broken arm and that leg." Mac finally nodded. "Alright, relax, you win,"he muttered.

Don's eyes started to flicker and it seemed he was starting to come around. That relieved Stella. Don squeezed Stella's hand just as he started to wake up. He shot a glare at Stella and a tear started to roll down his face. "Stell.....what the hell happened? Where's Mac?" he asked.

"Alright, relax!"Stella soothed with a breath of relief. "Dr. Hunter is working with him. You two got injured in the second explosion at the Federal Building."

Don had no recollection of the explosion. "Wait what??? Explosion? Are u kidding me? No. No that can't be right. I remember going into work today and working on case files. I don't recall any explosion at a Federal building." he said.

Stella looked at him in concern. Not good, she thought. "Mac was first on the scene from the team and you want out to help him with evacuations. The first bomb had already went off and you guys found a second bomb not too long before it went off and that's why you two got nailed. I think you took the harder hit, but Mac's in with a possibly broken arm and a nasty looking injury to his leg. They brought you right in but I had to pick Mac up from the scene since he was stubborn enough to try and stay. Danny and Lindsay are handling the rest of the process now and the bomb squad was there working as well."

Don still had no recollection of the bomb explosion at the Federal Building. "The only explosion I remember getting involved in was a few years back at that same building. I got nailed pretty hard. Now what happened today I have no memory of, Stella." he said.

Stella nodded. "It's alright, Don. We'll figure this out,"she said, worried. This wasn't really good and she knew it, but that was kind of to be expected. It was a bomb, after all...

Don looked at Stella and shook his head. "How bad is it, Stella? I mean, how badly was I injured?" he asked.

Don shook his head, almost in disgust. He felt it was his fault for getting himself and Mac injured. "When u see Mac, let him know I'm sorry for getting him into this mess, Stella." he said.

Don couldn't look at it any other way. Injured twice in the same building? That couldn't be a coincidence. "If I hadn't gone into that building, Mac wouldn't have gotten hurt. I should've called for backup." he said.

Stella sighed softly. "He would've gone in regardless of what you did. He's just that stubborn. Don't blame yourself. I don't have enough momentum to try and tell both of you it's neither of your faults, because I know he'll be blaming himself too."

Don nodded and looked over at Stella. "I guess you're right, Stella. I think I just need to take it easy. Have they found out who caused the explosion?" he asked.

Don laughed a bit, but it still hurt when he did that. "Speaking of Mac, why don't u go check up on him? I'll be fine. Got the best nurses in town taking care of me." he said.
