*back at the hospital*

Don was eager to get news on the current case when his phone rang. "Detective Flack." he answered. "Don, I ran the explosive that I found back at the blast site. U won't believe who's print I found on it. Does the name Lessing ring a bell?" he asked. Don was shocked. "Are u sure it's Lessing? That's the same idiot that set off the bomb the first time that building went up into pieces. Have u found him?" he asked. Danny nodded and sighed. "Not yet, but I'm working on it. I'll let u guys know." he said.

Mac looked over at Don. He only heard one side of the conversation, but it was enough for him to guess what had been found out. He held up a hand when Don finished the call, "Don't tell me... We're looking at Lessing again?"

Don put his phone on the side table that was next to his bed. "Unfortunately that's who we're looking at, Mac. His prints were found on the explosive that was collected from the building. Danny said he'll call us if he finds anything else out." he said.

Mac nodded and sighed softly. "Lessing's point is one I can't argue with," he admitted, shaking his head as he leaned against the wall again, "It's his method of conveying it that's flawed and that I want to argue." He looked back over at Don. "He wanted in the Marines. That's how I could connect to him, how I kept him from killing that Homeland Security Officer." He shook his head again. "But he failed his psych tests, and if that hadn't kept him back, I would say his methods of explosives would have been his downfall. Other than that, I saw a disciplined young Marine possible." Now he shrugged. "But blowing up buildings isn't the greatest way to prove to anyone that you've got your goals and head straight. Not to mention he was off medication. Another thing that didn't help his case."

Don nodded. "Post traumatic stress or just plain schizophrenic?" he asked, trying to piece the puzzle together. "Blowing up buildings was his motive. That's why he was researching u. He knew u were a decorated Marine, but how did he know we would be inside?" he asked.

"Flat out schizophrenic," Mac said, "That's why he failed his psych testing when he tried to join," he added. He shook his head slightly. "I will agree with him that we have to protect our country, but the thing I can't agree with are his methods. Blowing up buildings on hone turf is rather counterproductive."

"Out of his bunny hole, no doubt," Mac grunted, frowning as he folded his arms across his chest. "I have no intentions of dirtying my bunny tail more than necessary this time. Last time, I took a venture down the bunny hole," he said, forming a bunny head with his hand like the shadows almost every kid remembered from the camp out in home nights, "My fluffy white tail came out a little dirtied."
