False Accusations || Don

Stella nodded and quickly took off in the other direction, gun still in her hand.

Don went through the front of the warehouse, hoping he would catch these scumbags. "Stella, they're not here. U see anything?" he asked.

Stella shook her head as she joined him. "No...I got nothing,"she said.

Don sighed. "Son of a bitch!!!! Where the hell are they? We were hot on their heels and they just vanish into thin air? That's not possible, I'm telling u!!" he said, catching his breath.

Stella nodded in agreement. "What the hell is going on here?"she growled in confusion, shaking her head in shear disbelief.

Don paced back and forth, putting his hands on his head in utter disbelief. "I wish I knew but I guarantee u when we find these cold blooded bitches, I will put several bullets in their brains!!!" he growled.

Stella sighed and nodded in agreement. "Deal,"she muttered.

Hawkes texted Don with a location to where these scumbags were. "Don, try this location, 452 East 28th Street, Bronx, New York." Don showed Stella the text. "Ok. Ok that's good. Hawkes got another location, 452 East 28th Street, Bronx." he said.

Stella nodded. "Then we better get moving."

Don nodded and motioned to Stella to head to the Bronx. "Hawkes is such an asset to this team, he knows everything. Don't know what we'd do without him." he said.

Stella nodded in agreement. "And he's always had our backs,"she pointed out as they headed to the Bronx.

Don nodded. "I'm gonna call Hawkes and ask him what we're looking for." he said. "Hawkes, hey are we looking for an old warehouse, apartment, house?"

Stella nodded. "From what I know, you're looking for an old abandoned parking garage, Don. That's what I've found out so far. I can totally see those jerks hanging out there,"Hawkes told Don.

Don nodded and looked at Stella. "Ok thanks. We'll let u know if we find anything else out of the ordinary. These guys couldn't have gotten far. I had police canvass the area just before we left. Hopefully they got something. Even the smallest detail will help us out right about now." he said.

Hawkes nodded. "Alright, sounds good. You two be safe out there."

Don nodded. "We will. We'll send any evidence to the lab if we find any." he said.

"Alright. I'll be here,"Hawkes agreed.

Don nodded and put his phone away. "Any trace of evidence will help right about now. Even the smallest hair samples or...or even a speck of blood would make me happy." he said. Don was ranting and raving and why not? This was Mac's life that was hanging in the ballots and whenever a close friend got injured, Don took it personally.

Stella nodded. "Yeah it would. It'd do us the world of good,"she muttered in agreement. She looked back to Don as a thought struck her. "How's Brad taking this all?"

"I haven't told him yet. He knows the gang that mugged Mac but as far as this whole thing's concerned, I haven't told him." Don said.

Stella nodded. "I think Mac would want him there,"she said, her eyes narrowed in thought. She spoke through experience. She'd seen Mac with the teenager and she had to admit, those two had really clicked and hit it off pretty well even though Brad had been a suspect, which had made him and Mac's relationship a whole lot more shocking.

Don nodded and sighed. "U want me to get him out of the car, put his life in more danger, what if these guys come at him with knives or, or guns? I mean, no disrespect intended Stell, but I'd do it in a heartbeat if Mac were here." he said.

Stella shook her head. "I meant at the hospital, Don,"she said gently. "I think Mac would want him there,"she said, her voice soft.

Don nodded. "Right. That's uhh, that's a good idea. I'll get him over there. I'm sorry Stella, I'm just frustrated, I didn't mean to make u feel like I snapped at u. I'll be right back." he said, heading to his car and checking up on Brad. "Hey Brad, u holding up ok? Listen, u know what I was thinking? What if I brought u by the hospital to see Mac? How does that sound?" he asked, offering the teen a smile.

Stella gave Don a pat on the arm. "No hard feelings,"she told him. Brad looked up when Don came back over to him. "I'd like that,"he said with a small smile.
